PANAJI: The BJP Goa State Executive Committee has unanimously passed a resolution congratulating the Dr. Pramod Sawant-led government for its initiatives in infrastructure development, healthcare, agriculture and welfare schemes, while highlighting its achievements ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
The resolution cited ₹32,000 crore in infrastructure investments and expressed confidence in the party’s preparations for the upcoming electoral contest. Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and Tribal Affairs Minister Ramesh Tawadkar seconded the resolution.
Rane highlighted the state government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, pointing to projects such as the cancer hospital and super-speciality hospital, along with home-based care services for patients. He credited these initiatives to the BJP government under Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.
Tawadkar, meanwhile, criticised the Congress over what he described as its failure to adequately address the needs of Goa’s tribal community during its tenure. He credited the BJP government with initiatives aimed at tribal welfare and said political reservation for Scheduled Tribes in Goa would be provided soon.
