The Villagers of Shel Melauli today resolved to demand immediate scrapping of IIT Goa project and ownership rights on their land, which they have been cultivating for decades since liberation.
On Sunday people from Sattari gathered in large numbers at Shri Sateri Bhramhani Mahamaya Prasanna temple Velusa Sattari, to understand and discuss on the land right issue showing their interest and working on it.
The people of Sattari demanded they be given Class A category ownership rights and not second class category.
They said that the survey conducted in 1972 was a big blunder by the government and taluka administration.
