Mapusa: Panic gripped the busy area near Mapusa Court Junction after a scooter was crushed under a lorry in a road accident on Tuesday.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when the lorry collided with a scooter, causing it to get trapped beneath the heavy vehicle. The impact left bystanders shocked as the two-wheeler was severely damaged.
Fortunately, the rider had a narrow escape and sustained only minor injuries. He was immediately attended to and provided medical assistance at the scene before being moved for further check-up.
Police personnel rushed to the spot soon after the accident and managed the situation, ensuring that traffic movement was restored. The lorry driver was taken into custody for questioning, and a case has been registered.
