St CRUZ: A case of vehicle theft has been reported in Cujira, St. Cruz, Tiswadi, Goa, where an unidentified individual allegedly stole a black Jupiter scooter parked in an open public parking area.
The complaint was lodged by Carmo Carmino Cardozo, a resident of House No. 578, St. Cruz, on June 5 at around 9:28 PM. According to the complainant, the theft occurred on May 21, 2025, around 10:00 AM, when the scooter—bearing registration number GA-07-M-9580—was taken from the parking area near his residence. The vehicle is estimated to be worth approximately ₹60,000.
Police have registered the complaint and begun an investigation into the incident. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity and appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the identification of the suspect.
Local residents have expressed concern over rising incidents of vehicle theft and are urging authorities to step up patrolling and surveillance in the area.
