COLVALE: A scuffle broke out between inmates at the Central Jail Colvale, resulting in one prisoner sustaining injuries.
According to jail authorities, the incident occurred inside Block 4 of the prison premises. The altercation allegedly involved inmates Sagar Patil, Manthan Chari, and Narayan Bhalekar.
Following the incident, the injured inmate was shifted under police escort to the District Hospital Mapusa for medical treatment. His condition is presently reported to be stable.
Authorities have initiated further inquiry into the incident to ascertain the cause of the altercation and fix responsibility.
