PANAJI: The Goa State Election Commission (SEC) has extended the time to submit suggestions and objections to the draft Panchayat ward delimitation ward proposal until March 4.
“The draft delimitation proposals of the Village Panchayat wards for ensuing General Election to Village Panchayats 2022 prepared by the Electoral Registration Officers (EROS) has been kept open in the Office of the respective EROS and also in the Office of the Talathi of the respective Village Panchayat till March 4, 2022 (Friday)” the order by SEC states.
The SEC said that the draft is kept open for the general public to submit their suggestions/ modifications/ Corrections pertaining to the said delimitation of Village Panchayats Wards.
General Public can also access these draft delimitation proposals of the Village Panchayat wards on February 26, 2022 (Saturday) and February 27, 2022 (Sunday) at EROS office and at respective Village Panchayat Talathi office during office hours.
Elections to 186 village panchayats are likely to be held in June, and ballot papers will be used for voting.
