CANACONA: Shree Nirakar Vidyalaya, Mashem Canacona emerged as overall champions at the taluka-level yoga event organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.
The school won four titles, under 17 boys and girls and under 14 boys and girls.
In the under-14 Girls category event, Manasvi Naik won gold and Sailee Tilve won a bronze. In the under-14 boys category Tanmay Kolkonkar, Sahil Mhalshekar and Soham Paiginkar won gold, silver and bronze, respectively.
In the under-17 girls category event Saira Sudhir won gold and and Shruti Velip bagged silver and in the boys under 17 category Manthan Satarkar secured gold and Sriyesh Sudhir won Silver. The students were trained by PE teacher Nilesh Prabhu Desai.
