PANAJI: With Monsoons approaching soon, Smart City works phase 1 in CCP’s ward no 30 are scheduled for completion and will be open by April 24.
As per information, Sewer Line-1699m out of 1699m has been completed while Manholes -41 nos completed out of 44 nos. Balance 3 nos. in progress.
“Further, inspection Chambers (House Connection)-50 nos. completed out of 58 nos. Balance in progress. Debris Clearance and road reinstatement are in progress,” said Ward Councillor Sandra Da Cunha
Da Cunha has also requested non–residents to follow the directions on the signboards that lead to the Kadamba pass till the road is opened to the general public after the completion of the work as it will help to minimize any potential risks and inconvenience caused by the ongoing construction.
”Residents are facing a lot of hardships because of the non-residents and tourists using the roads thereby causing traffic jams, dust pollution, danger to pedestrians, rash driving and obstructing the smooth flow of smart city works”, said Councillor Sandra.
She also said that Construction and Development projects can cause inconvenience and disruption to daily life, said Councillor Sandra’.
“I kindly request your support and cooperation during this time to ensure that the works are completed smoothly and in a timely manner,” the councillor added.
