PANAJI: The Congress received a significant boost when prominent campaigners for the upcoming Goa Lok Sabha elections were announced, including National President Mallikarjun Kharge, party heavyweights Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor, Priyanka Vadra, and Kanhaiha Kumar.
Remarkably, the party produced a list of celebrity campaigners that includes Francisco Sardinha, one of the likely candidates who had said he would run after being refused a ticket.
Amit Patkar, Yuri Alemao, Girish Chodankar, Carlos Fereira, and Altone D’Costa are among the other Goan leaders on the list.
Meanwhile, Nuvem Sarpanch, Freda D’Sa, and others publicly endorsed Captain Viriato Fernandes, which gave his campaign a boost.
