MARGAO: In a significant move to enhance infrastructure and quality of life in South Goa, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant recently laid the foundation stones for a plethora of development projects.
The event, held in the presence of several key dignitaries, marked a substantial step towards the state’s commitment to modernization and progress.
The projects, which are set to transform the region, include the establishment of a new Primary Health Center at Curtorim, the construction of the Maina-Curtorim Police Station at Sonsdo, Raia, and the implementation of underground power cabling along with the installation of new power transformers.
Additionally, the initiative encompasses the replacement of water pipelines, hot mixing and repairs of roads, and soil conservation works at the Camborlim bund.
Sports infrastructure is also set to receive a boost with the upgradation of the Curtorim and Maina football grounds.
Other projects include the provision of agriculture machinery, the setting up of a CSC Center, and a Physiotherapy Center.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant extended his congratulations to Curtorim MLA, Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, for his tireless efforts in bringing these development projects to the constituency. The event was attended by WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar, Sports & Cultural Minister Govind Gaude, Tourism & IT Minister Shri Rohan Khaunte, Law & Environment Minister Aleixo Sequeira, and several other prominent figures.
He said the Government of Goa remains resolute in its mission to upgrade and build modern infrastructure, thereby driving progress and enhancing the ease of living for all Goans.
