CANACONA: Tawadkar, along with PWD officials, discussed the construction of an Arch and the Beautification of the checkpost at the Goa-Karnataka border.
Tawadkar also sought to know the details for planning the 4-Lane widening/Construction of Maxem (from the endpoint of Manohar Parikar Canacona Bypass Road (MPCBR)) to Polem Checkpost/Goa State Border road.
The PWD officials also present were: Executive Engineer, WD XIV (NH) PWD Margao, Dattaprasad Kamat, Assistant Engineer(Highway), Canacona Rajesh Gaude, Technical Assistants – Jerimonio Vaz and Nagraj Adpaikar, besides a representative of Aarvee consultancy (Consultant) Anil Kumar.
It may be recalled that the Checkpost border was proposed for Beautification by Ex-Canacona MLA/Ex-Dy Speaker Isidore Fernandes, and atleast two before the PWD as well as Tourism officials have inspected and prepared reports for Beautification and setting up of Tourist Welcome Centre at Polem border.
