PANAJI: Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has informed to general public and political parties, that the draft Electoral Roll in respect of the Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies in the State of Goa relating to the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll with reference to January 01, 2025 as the qualifying date will be published as per the programme approved by the Election Commission of India, New Delhi.
As per the schedule for various stages of Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll – 2025, publication of draft electoral roll will be on October 29, 2024, period of filing claims and objections will be from October 29, to November 28, 2024, Special campaign dates are on November 09, 2024 and November 10, 2024 and November 23, & November 24, 2024, Disposal of Claims and Objections will be done by December 24, 2024 and Final Publication of electoral roll will be on January 06, 2025.
The Electoral Roll will be available for scrutiny by the members of the public from October 29, 2024 till November 28, 2024 in the premises of the respective Polling Stations where the last election for Parliamentary Constituencies and Assembly Constituencies were held. The Electoral Roll is also available for scrutiny in the Offices of concerned Electoral Registration Officers and also in the offices of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers in the State of Goa.
All Indian citizens who are eligible to be included in the Electoral Roll are requested to scrutinize the Draft Electoral Roll and those whose names do not figure in the said draft Electoral Roll and those who may attain the age of 18 years as on January 01, 2025 as qualifying date are requested to get their names included in the Electoral Roll in accordance with the procedure.
Online services are offered at Voter helpline Mobile App and https://voters.eci.gov.in/ , where eligible user can apply online for registration of new elector (Form 6) /shifting of residence, correction of entries in existing electoral roll, replacement of EPIC and marking of person with disability (Form 8) deletion of elector (Form 7) registration of overseas Indian electors (Form 6A) Aadhar linking to EPIC (Form 6B). The user can track the status of the application already submitted online as well as download/print the form from the portal for offline submission of the application.
The list of claims and objections is available on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer Goa at www.ceogoa.nic.in and objections if any can be raised before the respective Electoral Registration Officers.
All claims and objections received up to November 28, 2024 will be duly considered and disposed of by the concerned Electoral Registration Officers in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.
The public in general and the political parties in particular are requested to scrutinize the Draft Electoral Roll and to take necessary steps to get the names of eligible citizens included or corrected for which the time limit is up to November 28, 2024.
