ST ESTEVAM: A day after the Rent-A-Car plunged into St Estevem river, search operations to find missing Gujarat Businessmen Bashudev Bhandari continues by Old Goa and Coastal Police.
As per information Old Goa police staff is trying to locate the body in bushes along the river side whereas Coastal police have been conducting search operations towards Panaji side from Tolto ferry point.
Sources have also informed us that the family Bashudev Bhandari is also expected to reach Goa today.
The 22-year-old man is feared to have drowned after his car plunged into a river while evading another vehicle at St Estevem in the wee hours of Sunday.
However, despite a thorough search operation involving trained divers, Bhandari has not yet been found.
Police information reveals that in Marcel Village, Bhandari collided with another automobile while travelling with a female companion.
According to the information, Bhandari was speeding when the other automobile pursued him.
The recovered car contained several personal belongings, including Bhandari’s pants, a laptop, and two or three bags.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising concerns about safety and the mysterious circumstances surrounding the chase.
The authorities are looking into whether the dup was actually driven to the ferry point by a GPS “error” or whether the automobile was actually being pursued.
“We’re looking through the local CCTV footage to get out more information,” Police said
The female survivor plays a crucial role in the inquiry. She was questioned by the police in order to learn more about the circumstances leading up to the incident.
