CANACONA: St. Francis Xavier High School won the Canacona Taluka Level inter-school handball championship by defeating St Annes Institute Agonda by 6-5 goals in the finals.
In the semifinals st. Francis Xavier High School Bhatpal defeated government High school Gaval Khol 3-2 in the penalty shootout.
In the final match st. Francis Xavier High School Bhatpal won a Nail-Biter where mast Abdul Samad scored the winning goal in the dying 50 seconds of the match.
Mast shrines Shrinivas Reddy scored a hat trick in the final match, mast Abdul Samad scored 2 goals & mast nickel Savio Ferrao scored 1 goal.
The team was coached by the PE teacher of the school mast Nehal Komarpant.
