MMC Chairperson Leo Rodrigues appealed to people to support the business of self-help groups during the festive season
“This space is arranged by the Government, and we have already set up stalls to accommodate as many as 50 Self Help groups from across the Taluka. These Self-help groups will be offered stalls free of cost, and they can display their products like homemade sweets etc, at these stalls,” said Rodrigues.
“Atmanirbhar Bharat is the Vision of the PM Narendra Modi, and Swayampurna Goa Chaturthi Bazaar is the initiative of our CM Dr Pramod Sawant, and hence the Bazaars have been set to make available products that may be needed for the Ganesh Chaturthi. All our Goan people under the self-help groups will make available homemade products and items required for the Matoli. I appeal to all Vascokars to visit the bazaar and help the self-help groups and mahila mandals by buying their products and encourage them so that we can set up a bigger Bazaar the next year for festive seasons,” said Rodrigues.
