Assam: A World War II-era unexploded bomb triggered alarm in the Ledo-Lekhapani area of Tinsukia district after it was discovered in a residential locality, prompting a rapid and coordinated response from the Indian Army.
The rusted explosive device, measuring around 12 inches in length and 6 inches in diameter, was found in a populated zone, raising immediate safety concerns. Upon receiving the alert, a specialised bomb disposal team was deployed to the site to handle the situation.
