VERNA: Verna Police have registered a case against several employees of Swiggy Networks Limited for allegedly manipulating warehouse records and fraudulently siphoning off goods worth ₹93.38 lakh from the company’s warehouse at Zuarinagar, Sancoale.
The complaint was lodged by Atish Patil of Lead Warehouse, Swiggy Networks Limited. According to the complaint, the alleged offences took place between May 22 and July 6, 2026, at the company’s warehouse in Sancoale.
Police have named Amit Uthawale, a Senior Executive (Inventory) from Kalyan West, Thane; Rishab Raj, a Supervisor from Samastipur, Bihar; Vaishali Pandey, an Inventory Supervisor from Ahmedabad, Gujarat; Aftab, a Loader; Arif Isani, the Site In-charge/Assistant Manager; and other unknown employees as accused in the case.
According to the complaint, the accused, acting in furtherance of their common intention, allegedly manipulated the warehouse management system by making false inventory entries without physically storing goods in their designated locations. They are also accused of preparing forged documents and using them as genuine to mislead security personnel into allowing the unauthorized movement of stock.
The alleged fraud involved cigarettes worth ₹68,29,172 and mobile phones worth ₹25,08,930, taking the total value of the misappropriated goods to ₹93,38,102.
Verna Police have registered the case, and further investigation is being carried out by Police Inspector Anand Shirodkar.
