Quepem: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has urged the youth to bring about a change in the Society by making use of government schemes and policies.
The Chief Minister was speaking at Swami Vivekanand Yuva Sammelan, at Quebec.
”Our government is totally committed to development of youth and their future. Only youth can bring change in outlook of state by using various government policies and programs,” he said.
Sawant said the youth can make aware people about the schemes in every part of Goa.
“The participation of youth in government programs has been missing in past in our Goan political system.,” he said adding ”BJP won four seats in Quepem taluka and I am hopeful that in the forthcoming assembly the BJP will also take big lead in Quepem municipality.”
Quepem MLA and Deputy CM Babu Kavelkar criticized Congress party for putting a tag of being a communal party.
“Congress has always blamed BJP party of communalism but when today I am part of BJP party there is nothing like that. The Congress is misleading the youth and the people of Goa and the country,” he said.
He further added that like Zilla panchayat election, in municipal election too BJP will win big in Quepem.
BJP State party chief Sadanand Shet Tanavade and youth morcha of party members and party workers were present on the occasion at Quepem municipal hall.
