PANAJI: A 29-year-old Tanzanian national was taken into custody by the Mapusa Police on Friday for allegedly remaining in Goa for too long.
Police said that Agata Costantino Unija, the accused, was apprehended for entering the state without a valid passport or visa.
According to authorities, she was arrested in Bhatiwado-Parra.
Section 6(a) of the Passport (Entry Into India) Rule 1950 and Section 14 of the Foreigners Act 1946 have been used to register an offense.
