Town and Country Planning(TCP) department has notified 47 applications for zone change under 16B of the TCP Act today. Stakeholders have been given two months’ time to voice objections if any. The Zone change applicants include Senior political leaders Pratapsingh R. Rane (11,465 sq mtr land at Podocem, Sattari) and Anil Hoble ( 5,708 sq mtr land (2 applications) at Morombi-o-Grande, Tiswadi) as well as Sanatan Santha seeking conversion of 9,691 sq mtr land from Settlement/ Natural Cover with NDS zone to Institutional Zone. Incidentally, total 22 of the 47 applications are of one Ashwin Kamath, for conversions of paddy fields and partly orchard land into settlement zone at Cuncolim,Salcete.
