CANACONA: Guiding the students on AIDS awareness, teenagers are also advised to stay away from Drugs at the AIDS and Druga Abuse Awareness program held at S S Angle, Higher Secondary School, Maxem.
The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of SS Angle Hr Sec. School, Maxem in association with G.R. Kare College of Law, Margao and Rotary Club of Margao Mid-Town and Rotary Community Corp, Loliem organized an interactive talk on AIDS Awareness and Drug Abuse on Saturday
Goa Medical College Bambolim Retired HOD Department of Microbiology Dr. Savio Rodrigues, and GR Kare College of Law Asst. Prof. Dr. Yamini Jivaba Dalvi were the resource persons.
President of Rotary Club Margao Mid Town Nilesh Lolyekar, and President of Rotary Community Corp, Loliem Sharendra Naik, were also present on this occasion.
The first session on AIDS awareness was organized by Dr. Savio Rodrigues and Prof.Dr. Yamini Jivaba Dalvi organized the second session on Drug Abuse. Both the speakers explained in details the ill effects and its impact on individuals health and on the society in general.
Earlier, SS Angle High School Principal Hemant M. Kamat in his introduction and welcome address emphasized on AIDS awareness and the necessary guidance for teenagers to stay away from drugs.
