PORVORIM: Porvorim Police have registered an offence against two individuals for alleged criminal breach of trust and cheating in a business arrangement spanning from September 2021 to February 2023.
The complaint, filed by Bhupesh Gaonkar, a resident of Journalist Colony, Porvorim, states that the accused — Sandeep Verma and Hasina Mankatti, both residents of Porvorim — were entrusted with managing his business at TNK, Porvorim. During this period, the accused allegedly misused cheques issued by the complainant and transferred funds to one Vikas Kumar without his knowledge or consent, thereby committing misappropriation and cheating.
The case was registered on June 19, 2025, at 09:15 hrs. Further investigation is in progress.
