CANACONA: Candidates backed by NSUI and JANASENA have emerged victorious in the Student Council election at Shree Mallikarjun and Shri Chetan Manju Desai College, Canacona, following a closely contested electoral battle.
Following their victory, the newly elected council members visited the Shri Mallikarjun Temple and sought the blessings of Dev Mallikarjun. They later paid their respects at the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by garlanding it.
The elected candidates subsequently met JANA-SENA Supremo and Congress leader Janardhan Bhandari and expressed gratitude for his support and guidance during the election. Bhandari congratulated the newly elected members and urged them to work sincerely, impartially and in the overall interest of the student community.
Bhandari also thanked the NSUI, Youth Congress and JANASENA members who actively worked during the campaign, including Vaishnav Pednekar, State Vice President, GPYC; Manesh Naik Gaonkar, President, Canacona Block Youth Congress; Harsh Desai, President, NSUI-Canacona; Vishwdeep Shet Desai, President, JANASENA; Sunil Gaonkar, Avdumber Chari, Ashish Velip, Darshan Velip, Shuban Velip, Sidhu Gaonkar and Geetesh Gaonkar, along with others.
The victorious candidates expressed their gratitude to Chetan Desai, JANA-SENA Supremo Janardhan Bhandari, NSUI, Youth Congress and the JANASENA team for their guidance, support and encouragement throughout the election process.
The newly elected Student Council members pledged to work dedicatedly towards addressing student concerns and promoting the academic and extracurricular development of the student community.
