MAPUSA: The Anjuna police, on Friday, said that they have booked a duo, including one club owner, for allegedly rap- ing a 33-year-old woman from Bardez.
The police said that the victim has lodged a complaint against the two accused, including a club owner, who is a resident of Na- gao and another person, for sexually assaulting her since November 2022 till June 7, 2023 at Nagao.
The police said that “the victim has complained that one Jaydeep and one Anil on several occas- sions raped her.
She has also complained that Jaydeep also threatened her with dire conse- quences.”
The police said that they have registered offences under Section 376 and 506 (ii) of Indian Penal Code against Jaydeep and Anil, and added that investigation is underway in the case.
