CANDOLIM: A 38-year-old tourist from Bengaluru died while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, after allegedly falling from the second-floor balcony of a hotel in Candolim.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Naveen S, a resident of Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Police said the incident occurred at a resort in Candolim, where the victim allegedly fell from the second-floor balcony. Preliminary information suggests that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at GMC, Bambolim, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Following information received from the hospital, police registered the case on July 17. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Yogesh Mandrekar to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the fatal fall.
