CANACONA: Canacona Police have arrested two persons for allegedly possessing suspected MDMA during a raid near Char Rasta in Canacona.
According to police, on July 29, between 1.15 pm and 2.45 pm, Sahil Kurdikar, a resident of Valkini Bhati, Sanguem, presently residing in Calangute, was allegedly found in possession of 1.9 grams of suspected MDMA valued at approximately ₹19,000.
Another accused, Mohammed Zidan, a native of Kasaragod, Kerala, presently residing in Saligao, was allegedly found carrying 1.5 grams of suspected MDMA worth around ₹15,000.
The total seizure amounted to 3.4 grams of suspected MDMA valued at approximately ₹34,000.
Police said the accused failed to produce any legal documents authorising possession of the narcotic substance.
The case was registered on the complaint of PSI Ramdas Doifode of Canacona Police Station. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Ajit Velip of Canacona Police Station.
