VERNA: Two separate cases of alleged kidnapping of minor girls were reported in the Verna area on Tuesday morning, prompting police to launch an investigation.
In the first case, a mother complained that her minor daughter (name withheld) was kidnapped by an unknown person at around 7:00 am from Birla while under her lawful guardianship.
In a second incident reported the same day, another minor girl (name withheld) was allegedly kidnapped by an unidentified individual at around 7:30 am near a mosque in Verna.
Both cases have been registered based on complaints filed by the victims’ mothers. Police have not yet identified the accused in either case.
Further investigation in both matters is being carried out by PSI Prisly Carvalho of Verna Police Station.
