PANAJI: An unidentified man, believed to be around 36 years old, was found dead in a garden opposite Geeta Bakery in Panaji, police said.
According to police, information was received at around 12.35 pm on September 16 through a memorandum from the casualty department of Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim.
The man, whose identity and residential details could not be immediately established, was found lying in the garden. He was subsequently brought to the GMC casualty department by an EMRI 108 ambulance, where he was declared brought dead.
PSI Nitin Naik conducted an enquiry at the GMC casualty department. However, no relatives or acquaintances of the deceased appeared at the police station or could be traced during the initial enquiry.
Police are working to establish the identity of the deceased and ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death.
