PANAJI: Panaji Police have registered an unnatural death case after the body of an unidentified male was found floating in the sea and lying along the seashore at Miramar Beach on Thursday.
The incident was reported on September 10, 2026, following a wireless message received from the Panaji Police Control Room (PCR) at around 10.51 am, informing police that an unknown male person was floating in the sea near the Miramar shoreline.
Police subsequently proceeded to the spot and found the body of an unidentified male person floating in the sea and lying along the seashore.
A scene of occurrence panchanama was conducted by the police in the presence of two panch witnesses.
The deceased’s body was subsequently shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, for preservation, with the assistance of PC 9319.
Panaji Police registered UD No. 56/2026 under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
