PANAJI: The Governor, Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, today interacting with the children from ASRO community care home, Tivim and children from Human Touch Foundation, Agacaim, said that unity in diversity is the crux of our country India.
The Governor was speaking at the interactive meet, which is part of the three days Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations being held at Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula, beginning today.
The governor, accompanied by his wife Adv Reetha Sreedharan Pillai, said that Rs one lakh would be provided from Raj Bhavan funds to both these organisations and assured them of his full support.
The children from both organisations sang patriotic songs on occasion.
Present was Secretary to Governor Shri Mihir Vardhan, IAS(Retd), among others.
