Panaji: The day 1 of vaccination drive for citizens over 45 years got a great response from the people at the Chicalim Sub District Hospital.
Speaking to media Health Officer of Chicalim SDH Dr Anil Umbraskar said that around 100 people had been vaccinated in the first half itself
” It is important that people get vaccinated for the sake of precautions against Covid. We have had a great response in the first half itself, and we have vaccinated around 50 in the range of 45 years, 30 in the range of 60 plus and also of Frontline workers. We request people to come forward and take the vaccine so that there is no adverse health issues even if someone contracts covid. People should not fall prey to rumours and can contact us in case they have questions ” said Umbraskar
Meanwhile local resident Sukanth Shanbhag said that it was important that every person takes vaccines and completes his responsibility. Shanbhag also said that by taking vaccines, individuals can also help the nation fight covid 19
