VASCO: Vasco police today arrested 16 persons for allegedly creating a nuisance by drinking in public places.
As per the information, the 16 people were charged under section 34 (6) of IPC for creating a nuisance by drinking in public places.
Vasco PI Kapil Naik has also warned of stringent action against those drinking in public.
He further said that with the festive season, Vasco PI Kapil Nayak also issued a stern warning to the public, urging them to remain vigilant against the rising threat of pickpockets and mobile thieves.
He emphasized the need for heightened awareness during this period, as criminals often take advantage of crowded places and distracted individuals.
In light of this recent incident, it becomes imperative for the community to adopt precautionary measures to safeguard their belongings.
He further said that if possible, travels with friends or family to create an additional layer of security.
“If you notice anyone behaving suspiciously or attempting to steal, report it immediately to law enforcement,” he added.
