VASCO: Ahana Sangui from Navy Children School, Goa, participated in the Young Scientist Programme, Yuva Vigyan Karyakram (YUVIKA-2022), at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram.
YUVIKA is organised by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to impart basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications as well as emerging trends in science and technology amongst the young students, who are the future building blocks of our nation.
The two-week residential programme was held from 16-28 May 2022 at five ISRO centres at Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Shillong.
One hundred fifty students selected from schools across the country, studying in class IX as of 01 March 2022, interacted with eminent scientists and attended invited talks, experimental demonstrations as well as visits to various ISRO facilities.
The programme culminated with a visit of all participants to Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.
