FATORDA: Goa Forward Party (GFP) President and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai today said that Pramod Sawant has the certificate from Former Goa Governor Satyapal Malik for being the most corrupt Chief Minister.
“Pramod Sawant has sold Mhadei to Karnataka to save his chair. Pramod Sawant has the certificate from Former Goa Governor Satyapal Malik for being the most corrupt Chief Minister,” said Vijai.
He further said that there has been a resumption of illegal casinos operations in Goa are all back after shutting down briefly during the Assembly Session, where he raised the issue.
He further said that even a child in Goa knows that this can’t happen without the cooperation of the police and without the Home Minister as a stakeholder.
“CM Pramod Sawant does not have the guts to question Mhadei’s diversion to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He is only making tall claims,” he added.
While Sardesai demanded that the state government and Goa police should crack down on illegal activities, he also questioned the police’s intelligence-gathering machinery, which he said, failed to detect illegal gambling dens.
“Pramod Sawant and his government have gone out of their way to bless criminal activities in Goa like this illegal casino,” Sardesai said.
Speaking about CM Sawant’s challenge to the Opposition to win the 2027 election, Sardesai said he will be the only CM in history who has won the seat with the ballot votes.
“Don’t tell us how to win elections; Pramod Sawant won the election by fluke. I challenge him to resign and contest election as an individual person, not as CM,” he added.
