PANAJI: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai today said that Goa is a hub for international human trafficking and both National and International investigation agencies are investigating the matter.
“I had heard that Goa is a hub for international human trafficking; also I had written to CM on this but I got a reply saying that there is nothing of this sort happening; Today my stand is vindicated as an IPS officer has opened his mouth on this issue,” said Vijai.
Central and international agencies are looking at and investigating various angles related to human trafficking.
“Police should investigate and get this matter solved. Police should independently intervene in this matter,” he added.
Vijai said that if this issue is not sorted out in Goa’s coastal belt then it will venture next into the South.
Reacting to DGP tweets yet again issued advise to Jaspal Singh IPS to stay away from criticising media and opposition politicians.
“Goemkars are not scared of anyone. DGP should look into his own house which is full of corruption. DGP and Goa Police are taking offence for every criticism of the police,” said Vijai.
Vijai further said that he is not scared of DGP. He also termed the DGP as a troll army on ‘X’.
“I don’t get scared of DGP. The DGP now become a troll army. I can give a list of policemen accepting bribes,” he added
Sardesai said that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction and the DGP should think of this.
