QUEPEM: A woman riding an Ather electric scooter sustained injuries after it was allegedly hit by a WagonR car on the Fatropa-Balli road in Quepem.
According to Cuncolim Police, the accident occurred at around 8.58 am on June 19 when the accused driver, Ashendra Naik, a resident of Balli Math, Quepem, was allegedly driving his WagonR in a rash and negligent manner while entering the Fatropa-Balli road from an internal road.
Police said the car allegedly collided with an Ather electric scooter that was proceeding from Fatorpa towards Balli. Due to the impact, the scooter rider, Shital Gurou Bhandari, a resident of Quital, Fatorpa, fell onto the road and sustained simple injuries.
Cuncolim Police have registered a case against the driver, and further investigation is being carried out by HC Vinod Kankonkar.
