VASCO: Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar on Monday morning said that he will take the message of PM Narendra Modi to establish a good connect with the people through community services.
Salkar speaking to reporters, added that PM Modi’s visit and interaction with MLAs had motivated the BJP leaders to work towards the betterment of the people and the society at large.
“Our PM Narendra Modi had arrived to inaugurate the Mopa international Airport, and though he came for a government function, he took time for interactions with the BJP MLAs and leaders where he gave us the advice to connect to people, even if the people cannot reach to us, especially since the BJP works on the principle to extend the benefits to the last level person in society. We have been instructed that we need to go to the people to give us the unique advantage of improving our connect with the people and getting to know the real ground situation happening in the most remote areas of our constituency. We have been told to organise competitions through sports and schools and reach out to the last section of society and involve them in various programs and explain government schemes so that they can get the benefit and their lives can be improvised,” said Salkar.
“We have been asked to organise events to strengthen the youth and bring the community together, and we are already working on reaching out to the people, but we have been advised to strengthen this further by taking special drives besides the regular Seva drives that the BJP conducts like having a healthy baby contest. PM Narendra Modi has assured to extend us all the support from the centre,” he said.
Salkar said every MLA and leader, including independent candidates supporting the Government, got a chance to interact with PM Narendra Modi, and it is our good luck that a world-class leader like Modi spent time with us in the interaction session and advised us on how to reach out to the people.
