Margao – Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat said that it is really a matter of grave concern that our neighbouring Maharashtra State has declared Goa as Place of Covid Sensitive Origin.
“Is this an achievement for the most insensitive BJP Government headed by Dr. Pramod Sawant,” questioned Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat.
He further asked which sensitive information Maharashtra has about Goa and about which Goans are kept in dark by the Chief Minister? Dr. Pramod Sawant must reveal the truth and save Goan peoples lives.
“I am consistently demanding that Government must come out openly with actual facts & figures on Covid Pandemic. Goans have every right to know what is happening around. BJP Government is trying to hide information on vaccines, medicines, medical oxygen and availability of ventillators & beds for Covid patients for the reasons best known to them,” charged Digambar Kamat.
He demand that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant must immediately take up the matter with Maharashtra Government and let people of Goa know why our small State is termed as Place of Covid Origin.
He also said the BJP Government must also take up the matter to the Central Government and seek clarification.
“The Centre must have guidelines to declare a particular State or Region as Sensitive Area. The announcement of State of Maharashtra has unnecessarily brought disrepute to Goa. We need to condemn it if the action of Maharashtra is without any scientific study. Goa Government must give explanation on the same,” Digambar Kamat said.
