Margao: A tragic incident was reported from Tilamol village, where a 42-year-old woman, identified as Noquel Alivero, died due to electrocution.
According to sources, the incident occurred when the woman was attempting to pluck raw mangoes using an iron rod, which accidentally came into contact with a live 11 KV high-tension wire in the vicinity.
She sustained a severe electric shock and died on the spot.
The incident has sparked concern among local residents, who have pointed out the dangers posed by high-tension wires running close to residential and agricultural areas. Locals have urged the electricity department to take immediate measures to ensure safety and prevent such incidents in the future.
