PONDA: A woman sustained grievous injuries after a car allegedly driven in a rash and negligent manner dashed against her scooter at Khandepar in Ponda.
According to Ponda Police, the case was registered on the basis of a state complaint filed by HC Ramdas Gawas of Ponda Police Station. The incident occurred on April 3 prior to 8:31 pm at Keryam, Khandepar.
Police said the accused, identified as Seban Andrade, a resident of Ponda and driver of a Maruti Swift car, was proceeding from Ponda towards Usgao when he allegedly drove the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner endangering human life. Upon reaching Keryam, Khandepar, the car reportedly dashed against a Jupiter scooter.
As a result of the impact, the scooter rider Harshada Patil of Tisk, Usgao, fell onto the road and sustained grievous bodily injuries.
Further investigation is being conducted by HC Ramdas Gawas of Ponda Police Station.
