Panaji: The Art and Culture Hall, Sanskriti Bhavan, resonated with empowerment and
inspiration on March 12th, as the Goa Livelihoods Forum, in collaboration with JCI Mapusa, hosted
the highly anticipated Yashaswini 2025, a flagship program commemorating International Women’s
Day.
Under the powerful theme, “Being Women: Struggle to Strength” the event showcased the
resilience and achievements of women across Goa, with an outstanding Divli dance performance by
Mahadev Kalasangam group the gathering was inaugurated.
The program offered a diverse platform for participants to express their strengths and journeys
through a multifaceted pageant competition, reel-making contest, a “Strength Attire” fashion show,
poignant two-minute personal stories, and an engaging question-and-answer round.
The event commenced with the felicitation of 25 budding women entrepreneurs from Goa,
recognizing their courage and initiative in establishing new ventures. The program also honoured the
mentors who provided invaluable support to these small businesses, highlighting the importance of
community and guidance in fostering entrepreneurial success.
The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Sucheta Dessai ( Superintendent of Police
(Training) & Commandant IRBn) and Asha Arondekar(Entrepreneur), who served as guests of honor.

Smt. Sarita Chavan, the keynote speaker, captivated the audience with her inspiring journey of
transforming into a successful entrepreneur, serving as a powerful testament to the theme of the
event. Special invitees Siya Shaik, Namita Sharan, and Chitra Kshirsagar further enriched the
program, alongside a gathering of vibrant and empowered women.
The highlight of the event was the Yashaswini 2025 pageant, judged by the esteemed panel of Ms.
Rahila Khan, Sandra Fernandes, and Sunitaa Mathur. Fifteen remarkable women from diverse
backgrounds across Goa participated, showcasing their talent, confidence, and strength.
Ms. Monalisa Dhawan emerged victorious, crowned Ms. Yashaswini 2025, receiving well-deserved
applause and recognition. Ms. Kshitija Salgaonkar was awarded the 1st Runner-up title, followed by
Ms. Sharmila Valvalkar as the 2nd Runner-up, and Ms. Dharshana Shet as the 3rd Runner-up. The
winners received cash prizes, celebrating their achievements.
Special recognitions were bestowed upon participants for their outstanding contributions. Amartya
Sengupta received the "Best Dressed" award, Arti Parab was recognized for her "Best Walk," and
Hasina Bandukara was honored with the “Lady with Vibe” award.
The program was hosted by Ms.Nikita Gupta.
The success of Yashaswini 2025 was made possible by the support of Manas Builders, and other
supporting partners Josa – Organic Sanitary Pads and the Directorate of Art and Culture.
The event served as a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and achievements of women in
Goa, inspiring future generations to pursue their dreams and overcome challenges. Yashaswini 2025
successfully celebrated womanhood and reinforced the importance of empowering women across
all walks of life.
