PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant assured that the State government will take the people into confidence before finalising the Pernem Zoning plan.
“The Pernem zoning plan is a draft plan; it is open to people’s suggestions and objections. Let the people give their views; we will take people into confidence,” the Chief Minister said.
Urging the people to submit their suggestions and objections, Sawant said that the plan will be finalised after considering the suggestions and objections submitted by the people.
Sawant said that he has spoken to Urban Development Minister Vishwajit Rane in this regard and that the draft land zoning plan would be made available in the office of Pernem municipal council and village panchayats of Pernem taluka.
Stating that he is also on the same page on draft zoning, Rane said that all suggestions and objections will be addressed by the expert committee formed by the TCP Board and that his only role was to oversee the planning process.
Sawant also said that Mopa ODP is limited to the Mopa Airport area and it’s not applicable outside the Mopa airport area.
