PANAJI: Goa Police is set to be strengthened with the induction of 126 new Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) after offer letters were issued to successful candidates selected through the Goa Staff Selection Commission recruitment process.
The batch comprises 121 male and five female candidates, all of whom will undergo professional training in Delhi before joining active duty in the Goa Police force.
At the offer letter distribution programme, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said the recruitment was conducted through a transparent and merit-based process, underscoring the government’s commitment to ensuring fair opportunities for the youth of Goa.
Addressing the candidates, Dr. Sawant highlighted the responsibility that comes with the role of a Police Sub-Inspector and urged them to serve with integrity, discipline and dedication while maintaining public trust.
He also reiterated that the establishment of the Staff Selection Commission was aimed at ensuring transparency and merit in government recruitment. The Chief Minister encouraged young aspirants to continue preparing for competitive examinations conducted by the Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) and the Goa Staff Selection Commission (GSSC).
The newly recruited officers will undergo structured training before being inducted into the force, where they are expected to contribute to law enforcement, public safety and policing across the state.
The programme was attended by Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, Director General of Police Alok Kumar, Inspector General of Police K.R. Chaurasia and other senior police and government officials.
