PANAJI: The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) conducted eleven departmental promotion committee meetings to consider promoting officials from various government departments on Friday.
Two Officers from the directorate of Agriculture were promoted to the position of Deputy director of Agriculture while two officers were promoted to the post of special auditor in Office of the registrar of cooperative societies.
Seventeen officers from the goa civil service were promoted to the senior administrative grade and will now be eligible to hold senior level positions in the state administration.
One official was promoted to the position of deputy director in the directorate of skill training while three officials were promoted to the position of assistant director in the same department .
At the goa medical college, promotion to one position of Professor in Neurology was recommended while one official was promoted to the position of pharmaceutical chemist.
Two officers were also promoted to the position of child development project officer in the directorate of women and child development.
Probation period and confirmation was recommended for eleven officials from Education department and thirteen officials from cooperation department. A total of around fifty five officials were recommended for promotions as well as for lifting of probation and confirmation at the meetings held today.
All departmental promotion committee meetings are chaired by Shri Jose Manuel Noronha , Chairman goa public service commission , while chief Secretary and Administrative secretary are members of the committee as per the recruitment rules in vogue.
