MAPUSA:
Colvale police have booked a case against two known persons for committing the theft of 24 battery cells worth Rs 1.5 lakh belonging to BSNL from the telephone exchange near the Ram Mandir at Colvale.
According to the police, the incident happened on February 10 between 19:30 and 12:30. A St. Cruz resident named Prashant Baviskar has filed a police complaint alleging that the two broke open the main door’s lock to enter the building and stole something.
The two have been charged with a crime by Colvale police under Sections 457, and 380 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The case is still being looked into by the police.
