PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Goa Government is committed to nurture a conducive ecosystem for start-ups and technology-driven enterprises.
Sawant chaired a meeting of the Empowered Committee with respect to Start up and IT Policies.
“The meeting focused on formulating strategies to foster innovation, support entrepreneurship and boost the growth of the IT industry in our state with the support of Central Government. Government of Goa is committed to nurture a conducive ecosystem for start-ups and technology-driven enterprises,’ said Sawant
Sawant said that governmentt services will be home delivered to citizens through the Gramin Mitras by the end of the month under the ‘Digital Goa’ campaign.
The entire ecosystem comprising of 170 online services of 27 departments being offered through through GoaOnline portal, offline-physical services through 8 Citizen Service Centers(CSC) and 400 Village Level Entreprenurs(VLEs) , home delivery of services through Gramin Mitra will be fully operational within a period of 2 months to further the ‘Digital Goa’ initiative, said CM.
Nominal fees will be charged for the services which were offered free of cost till now, he added. Sawant claimed that this will help increase the happiness index and bring in Ease of Living for citizens. “
As on date 22 lakh e-governance services related transactions have been done. Nearly half of Goa must have used the services by now,” asserted Sawant.
