VASCO: Vasco police on Monday evening carried out a narcotic raid near Vaddem Nagar English school and arrested a 23-year-old Rohan Saroj, a resident of New Vaddem, for possession of 1 kgs ganja worth Rs 1 lakhs
Vasco PI Kapil Nayak said the accused was caught red-handed in a narcotic raid by PSI Rohan Nageshkar.
“We had reliable and specific information, and we searched a Red and Black NTORQ bike bearing registration number GA06 Y 7231 which had the accused and found in his possession 1 kg of dry leafy substance suspected to be Ganja worth Rs 1 lakh. We have registered an offence and arrested him under section 20 (b) (ii)(B) of NDPS Act 1985,” said Nayak
PSI Swapnil Naik is carrying out a further investigation under the supervision of PI Kapil Nayak and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
