PORVORIM: A 75-year-old woman was allegedly abused and assaulted by her son and daughter-in-law at Paithan, Salvador-de-Mundo, Bardez, on October 30, 2026, at around 10.30 pm.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred while the elderly woman was speaking to her elder daughter over the phone. At the time, the accused, identified as Bablo Gadkar and his wife Kritika alias Ranjeeta, allegedly abused her using filthy language and assaulted her with slaps, fist blows and kicks.
Further, accused Bablo Gadkar allegedly assaulted the complainant with the handle of a spade (danda), hitting her on the left hand and causing injuries.
The complainant, a resident of House No. 25, Paithan, Salvador-de-Mundo, is the mother of accused Bablo Gadkar and mother-in-law of accused Kritika.
Based on her written complaint, Porvorim Police registered an offence on October 31, 2026, at 5.03 pm.
Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of ASI Sandeep Ghodge of Porvorim Police Station.
