PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that a 25,000 people strong crowd is expected at the Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s public meeting at Farmagudi on April 16, informed CM Pramod Sawant.

He further said that Shah’s meeting is part of Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign for 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit four states in the three days from Friday as he spearheads the BJP’s drive to tone up its organisation machinery and boost public outreach in the run-up to the Lok Sabha polls next year.
Party leaders said Shah will visit Birbhum in West Bengal on Friday followed by Bharatpur in Rajasthan on Saturday and Maharashtra and Goa on Sunday.
Shah will arrive in Goa from Maharashtra and address the meeting in Ponda town as part of the saffron outfit’s campaign for the 2024 general polls, he said. Tanavade was talking to reporters after a meeting of the state BJP core committee which took stock of preparations for the poll rally.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, a core committee member, attended the meet.
The BJP leader said the ruling party is also gearing up for polls to Sankhalim (North Goa) and Ponda municipal councils in May
