MARGAO: Twenty-eight tourists from Kerala were admitted to the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH) after a suspected case of food poisoning on June 9, prompting the hospital to activate its mass casualty response.
Speaking to the media, SGDH Superintendent Dr. Rajendra Borkar said the hospital dealt with a mass casualty incident involving 28 tourists from Kerala who suffered food poisoning while visiting Goa.
According to sources, the affected tourists had consumed food at a restaurant in Old Goa before they fell ill. However, this detail was not stated by Dr. Borkar.
